The President's Dream Colloquium on Entrepreneurship is continuing at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby for a few more weeks yet. It includes once-monthly free public lectures, each of which is held on a Friday from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
The theme of the colloquium is "Looking for entrepreneurial opportunities in all the usual (or unusual) places" and it is expected to be a forum with input from faculty, students and the community. It is tied to the post graduate course provided by the university.
The next lecture will take place in Vancouver at the Asia Pacific Hall on February 20. Saul Estrin will be talking about "National contexts: what makes different entrepreneurs thrive?"
The next couple of lectures will be "Early stage finance: an entrepreneur's perspective" given by Andrew Harries on February 21 and "What makes entrepreneurship social?" with Jonathan Lewis on March 7. The final two speakers will be Kate Oakley and Robert Miller.
It's likely that Burnaby printing companies will be helping to advertise this series through flyer or poster printing services.
The President's Dream Colloquium is taking place until April 4. Except for this week’s Vancouver event, the lectures will take place at the IRMACS Theatre at Simon Fraser University.
