The official Canada Day festivities will be taking place at the Burnaby Village Museum this year.
There will be live musical performances, historical displays, and cultural exhibits reflecting all of those who make Burnaby their home. People of all ages can play heritage games and enjoy a piece of free cake. There is also set to be a number of children's entertainers. Further, the carousel will also be open and costs $2.50 per ride.
Of course, the day will begin with a parade through the grounds of the museum and RCMP officers will be on hand and allow members of the public to pose for photographs with them.
This is just one of the Canada Day events taking place in the city; the annual Edmonds Community Park celebration, for instance, is expected to feature face painting, cultural entertainment, music, bingo, and arts and crafts. As with the museum event, free cake will also be served here.
It's likely that many people attending Canada Day events in Burnaby will be carrying or at least wanting a flag. Local Print companies may have been asked to produce them by event organizers.
The Burnaby Village Museum Canada Day Celebration will take place on July 1st from 11:00am - 4:30pm. Admission is free. Call 604-297-4565 for more information.
