Halloween fun in Burnaby

Halloween has become a huge holiday all over the world. It used to be just for kids, but no more; Halloween is for the whole family to enjoy. It is now so much more than just dressing up in a costume and going door to door asking for candy or going to a friend's house party. Several public facilities in Burnaby are holding special family Halloween events leading up to October 31.

The Halloween Howl at the C.G. Brown Pool on October 27 will feature games, a haunted house, candy and prizes. Bringing a swimsuit is recommended and wearing a costume is optional. There is a nominal fee for those wishing to use the swimming pool.

The Halloween Haunted Mansion Spookfest at the Eileen Dailly Pool on October 27 features an interactive haunted house. Again, a swimsuit is recommended and a costume is encouraged. There is a fee for those who wish to swim and a $1 fee to enter the haunted house.

Halloween Hoopla takes place at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on October 29. It features ice skating, face painting, Halloween crafts and games. Wearing a costume is encouraged. The regular admission fees at the centre apply.
