Discuss the future of transportation in Vancouver

The 2012 Transportation Summit will take place at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver from June 4 - 5. Tickets are $375 for government officials and $425 for the general public.

The summit, which is presented by the BC Chamber of Commerce, will feature a trade show on June 4, panel discussions on June 5, breakfasts, a luncheon, dinner, and speeches from transportation professionals. The summit is expected to be of interest to business leaders, government officials, and investors who are concerned about the future of transportation.

Speakers at the summit will be talking about future and present transportation issues in BC and among them will be Blair Lekstrom, BC Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Lorne Mackenzie of West Jet, and Rick Antonson of Tourism Vancouver. Panel discussions will include topics such as "Shipping and jobs for BC" and "Integrating BC's Network."

The summit will be a great opportunity for BC business leaders from the area, including nearby Burnaby, to network with their peers and to establish relationships with any government officials in attendance. Business card printing will of course be on the agenda for those planning to attend the Transportation Summit. There will be plenty of chances at breakfast, during lunch or dinner, and during the trade show for business leaders to exchange Business Cards and to forge relationships with their peers.

All those who attend the Transportation Summit should come away with some idea of how their business can profit from changes in transportation policies and innovations. With the venue itself being a very attractive building, this can only further tempt businesspeople to make an appearance.
