Cookery class planned for Burnaby kids

A Burnaby event is set to bring kids into the kitchen to learn cookery skills.

The Kids Cook! Mexican Fiesta class that is being offered at Posh Pantry Kitchen will teach youngsters from ages eight to twelve some basic food prep techniques, and the registration fee is $85. It will use an assortment of methods to teach culinary skills, and the learners will even get to eat what they prepare.

The kids in the session will be preparing a feast of Mexican favourites, and they include tortilla soup, beef enchiladas, Spanish rice and baked mini donuts. The registration fee includes all the ingredients and use of the equipment needed to prepare the dishes, and the instructors will be experienced in working with children. The run time of the class will be three hours, and it will be held at 4548 Hastings Street.

Teaching youngsters how to cook can give them a skill they will be able to use throughout their lives. Printed aprons and other Corporate Gifts, as well as cookbooks, recipe cards and other items are often sourced for such an occasion.

Posh Pantry Kitchen will be holding the Kids Cook! Mexican Fiesta cookery class on January 15th. It will begin at 10:30 am, and its website has been updated so that it offers the most current details about the activity.
