Burnaby residents are set to enjoy the Chinese New Year celebrations at a local seafood restaurant.
This year, which will be the Year of the Snake in the Chinese calendar, the event will be held at the Fortune House Seafood Restaurant. It will consist of a nine-course Chinese banquet and will feature live entertainment.
The Year of the Snake represents success in business if the proper care and planning is carried out. Celebrations of Chinese New Year are held throughout the world, with many celebratory events taking place across Canada. Every year, the Burnaby Board of Trade holds its annual Lunar New Year Celebration for its members and other local businesspersons.
It is expected to be a wonderful way to celebrate the event with fellow business leaders and friends. The Lunar Year Celebration will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Burnaby business leaders. No doubt many attending will be arranging for business card printing in advance of attending; any changes in contact information will have to be corrected and cards should be in mint condition.
There is likely to be a number of opportunities to exchange details over dinner. The evening should also give those who attend a taste of Chinese culture.
The Lunar New Year celebration will take place on February 5 from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Tickets are $55 each for chamber members or $520 for a table of 10 and $70 each for non-members or $660 for a table of 10. For more information call 604-412-0100.
