Burnaby workshop to create floral wreaths

Also known as heart’s ease and “Johnny Jump Ups”, violas are small pansies that often come in bright colours, and these little flowers will be the focal point of an activity on offer in Burnaby.

GARDENWORKS Burnaby-Mandeville will be teaching members of the public how to craft pretty viola wreaths during its Spring Viola Wreath Workshop, just in time for spring. It will be a hands-on activity, and the skills learned may be used to craft other projects in the future.

The facilitator for workshop the will walk the attendees through the steps of crafting their wreath, and both violas and moss will be used. Everyone can choose their plants from the selection provided. No experience is necessary to take part, and tickets are priced at $55.99. There are two sessions running on its scheduled date.

A class that uses live plants can provide an easy introduction to the joys of home horticulture. Stationery printers can prepare sheets of care tips to distribute so the attendees can keep their creations healthy and looking great for a long time to come.

This chance to kick start spring with a fresh floral wreath will be on offer on March 15th. Time slots are set for 11:00 am and 2:00 pm start times, and they may fill up quickly. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
