Productive plants start with healthy soil, and an upcoming workshop series will give Burnaby area greenthumbs the inside scoop of building soils that will provide their gardens with a top growing medium.
Without realizing it, many gardeners may be working with poor or depleted soils, and the Restoring Soil Health classes will address this topic directly. The sessions may be helpful for everyone from home gardeners to small-scale farmers, park commissioners, professional landscapers and many others, and the learning will be spread out over four days.
The participants in the series will find out about some of the latest research being done in the field of soil health and how this can be translated to their own garden or fields. Composting, the use of amendments, the importance of microorganisms to healthy soils and other topics all will be discussed too, and a variety of guest speakers will address the group. Each day will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
A course or workshop series can offer a deep dive into its particular subject area, and learning materials are often distributed during these events. These can be prepared by Stationery printers, and may include illustrations, Infographics and other graphic design elements.
This opportunity to dig into the topic of healthy soil is scheduled to start on April 6th. The final session will be held on April 27th, with the venue located at 4340 Carson Street.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Infographics
