Burnaby rink to host ugly sweater celebration

The holidays are often a time for frozen fun, and a Burnaby event will offer just that.

The Bill Copeland Sports Centre is hosting a function that will give ugly Christmas sweaters one last time to shine. It has organized an Ugly Sweater Toonie Skate, and there will be activities both on and off the ice.

The planners have included lots of fun in the agenda for the afternoon. There will be skating, face painting, crafts and reindeer games. With so much excitement to be had, Santa himself will be taking a few minutes from his very busy schedule to come and spend some time with the young and the young at heart during this family-friendly community celebration.

Admission to the skate is just two dollars, and this includes both the rental of skates and a helmet, if needed. The doors will open at 12:30 pm, and the function will wrap up at 3:00 pm. Holiday decor can help to add to the festive atmosphere of this type of occasion, and a banner printing company can offer everything from Banners to large size decoration.

Burnaby families who are looking for a fun outing may want to stop by the arena for its Ugly Sweater Toonie Skate on December 21st. Everyone is welcome, whether they are seasoned skaters or newbies to the sport.
