Simon Fraser University’s Student Society has issued an invitation to the community to be part of an event that will offer a taste of an old time drive-in.
The group is hosting a movie under the stars, and it will be screened at the SFU Academic Quadrangle, which can be found on its Burnaby campus.
Those who attend the movie showing will also be welcome to purchase some snacks or even a whole meal at the function, as there will be a barbecue set up serving hot dogs, burgers, and other outdoor fare. The film that is on the agenda for the evening will be ‘How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’, which is a family-friendly picture.
While there is no admission charge for the event, those who are interested have been asked to sign up ahead of time. The barbecue will be cash only, so anyone who plans on purchasing some food is reminded to make sure they have loonies or twonies on hand. The grill will be fired up starting at 7:30 pm, and the movie will start once the sun goes down.
An event like this can bring a community together for a fun time. A Print shop’s graphic design staff can prepare cinema-style movie Posters to help promote it to the local area.
SFU Student Society will be hosting this outdoor movie night on Friday, July 26, and guests are asked to RSVP.
