A fundraiser will help to make sure that Burnaby’s first responders will have a place to go when they are in need of some care and support for themselves.
Honour House gives police officers, emergency services personnel, firefighters, military members and veterans, along with their families, a place to call their own when they need a helping hand. The Arian Oliver Memorial Run will raise funds for this facility in memory of Constable Oliver, and his family noted that it was there to help them when they needed it, and they want to make sure its doors will remain open for others.
Those who plan on participating in the race can choose from either a 5k or 10k route, and they can run as part of a team or on their own. There will be a free BBQ and other post-race activities, and these will be open to both the runners and their friends, families, and the general public as well. Hats and T-Shirts printed with the event’s Logo Design are currently being sold, and the proceeds from these will also be donated to the cause.
The seventh annual Adrian Oliver Memorial Run will be hitting the pavement on October 27. It will be taking place in Burnaby’s Deer Run Park. More info about Honour House can be found on its website.
