It is time for Burnaby to clean out their closets, basements and garages and head to a pop-up market that could turn their unwanted items into someone else’s treasure.
At least 50 tables of pre-loved items will be on hand for members of the public to browse through at the community flea market planned for Burnaby. The Confederation Seniors’ Centre has been booked for the function, and each seller may reserve one table.
The booking system is now open, and tables can be reserved by calling or stopping by the centre in person. A map of the venue has been prepared for the vendors, and they can choose the spot they feel is the best fit for them, though they will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Some will have room for garment rack, and each space comes with a table and two chairs. Admission will be free to the buyers, and the organizers are hoping for a great turnout.
Markets like this can benefit from being heavily promoted. This can include distributing materials prepared by a local flyer printing company.
The city of Burnaby has been invited to take advantage of this chance to turn any unwanted items in their home into cash in their pockets on November 18th. The flea market will be up and running from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm.
