Burnaby will be joining the ranks of communities all over the globe that will be taking part in World Rivers Day celebrations this fall.
Burnaby Village Museum has crafted an event that will celebrate the important role rivers play in both the human and natural world, and everyone is invited to join in the festivities. It will be both free and family-friendly, and the park’s carousel will be open for rides at an additional charge.
The planners of the function have built an agenda that includes a wide variety of hands-on activities, and there will also be entertainment and an assortment of displays. Ice cream will be available for purchase, in what will be an opportunity for residents to develop a greater appreciation for the region’s rivers, and also learn what they can do to protect them for future generations.
An environmentally oriented function such as this often calls for “green” Promotional Products, and Print shops can come to the rescue. They will be able to supply a range of choices that fit well into the overall theme of the occasion, and these can be given to each person who attends the event.
Burnaby will be giving Mother Nature a tip of the hat on September 27. It will run from 11:00 am until 4:30 pm, and everyone is welcome.
