Also known as boba or pearl milk tea, bubble tea has been increasing in popularity all over Canada, and a Burnaby festival will put this beverage front and centre.
The Canada Bubble Tea Festival will be on offer this summer, and it will run for three days in mid-July. At least 100 vendor booths will be on site, and there is a long list of activities taking place for the crowd to enjoy.
As well as the chance to enjoy a huge variety of flavours and types of bubble tea, guests at the festival will be able to purchase an assortment of food. Outdoor movie screenings have been planned, and talent competitions, games and the opportunity to engage in some retail therapy by browsing through the small business booths are also in the works. Many local, national and international-level sponsors have provided support to the festival, and the Logo Design of each has been included on its website.
The fest is scheduled for Swangard Stadium, and the gates will open at 11:30 am each day. Guide dogs are welcome, but it has been requested that, as food will be served, pets be left at home.
