Burnaby fair to create volunteer connections

Not-for-profit groups often depend upon the generous spirit of volunteers to deliver their programming, and a Burnaby area event will connect these helpers with the organizations that need their assistance.

Community Volunteer Connections has scheduled a Volunteer Job Fair for this coming spring, and it will introduce a variety of organizations to members of the public who may be eager to learn more about them and what they have to offer. Its ticketing system for interested groups is now open, and the registration fee is $70.56.

Those organizations that sign up to participate can arrive in the morning to set up their exhibition table and prepare to meet the public. They can unload any materials they wish to use, and if their displays are eye-catching, they may attract a lot of attention. The fair will be open for four hours.

A community fair such as this offers the public an opportunity to learn more about the initiatives in their own home town in a relaxed setting. Exhibitors sometimes choose to distribute Promotional Products and other items at fairs like this one to spread awareness of their organization.

The Spring Volunteer Job Fair will be held on Sunday, May 7th at the City Centre Branch of the Coquitlam Public Library. Its doors will open to community members at 11:00 am, with it wrapping up at around 3:00 pm.
