Burnaby conference to put safety centre stage

Festivals, concerts and other large events can draw quite a crowd, and a Burnaby conference will focus on helping those in the industry ensure that they can plan event like these that are as safe as they are fun.

Delegates at the Actsafe Event Safety Conference will discover ways they can make sure the events they help to plan keep safety at the forefront. It will be a high-energy occasion, and the schedule is filled with presentations, workshops and other activities.

The symposium will look at the issue from the perspective of audience members, performers and crew, and there will be lots of opportunities for the attendees to meet, form connections and collaborate. More than 30 sessions will be on offer, and the trade show will include displays form at least 20 exhibitors. There will also be mixers and other chances to socialize, and those who attend may qualify for a discounted registration price for the Crowd Safety Workshop that is also being planned.

The event is set to run for two days, and it will kick off with an icebreaker the evening before the actual conference is set to begin. Print shops can provide a wide assortment of items that can make an occasion like this a big success, and can work with the organizers to help them choose the ones that are the best fit for a particular event.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby Conference Center will be the location for this learning opportunity. It will be held on March 8, with the ice-breaker on March 7.
