Burnaby’s food bank is about to get a welcome boost thanks to a special fundraiser that will fill Swangard Stadium with live music.
The organizers of Foodstock explained it will be a day filled with food, fun and fundraising as well as music and craft beers. Five different bands will be performing, and both food trucks and breweries have been invited to take part.
The guests at the gathering will be invited to try out the games and other activities that will be set up, and they can also engage in some retail therapy in the pop up market. Food trucks have been submitting their applications to feed the hungry crowd, and admissions to the 19 years and up celebration starts at $35.00 each. This includes a complimentary drink from one of the beverage service providers. A portion of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
