Burnaby Blues and Roots festival returns

The Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival will be returning for another summer, and organizers recently revealed the names of the artists who will be lending their talents to this year’s event.

For its 17th year, a variety of performers will be taking to the stage. They include well known individuals and groups such as Frazey Ford, Colin James, the Royal Southern Brotherhood and Cyril Neville. Also on the bill are Lind Ortega, Cecile Doo-Kingue, Como Mamas, Ben Rodgers, Wes Mackie and more.

Tickets for the festival, which has been scheduled for August 6th, range between $50 for an early bird pass purchased before June 2nd to $60 for a regular priced ticket bought online. They will also be available at the gate with a price tag of $75. Graphic design can be used to create a wide variety of printed promotional items for events such as this that can help to market it to both the local community and those further afield.

The event will take place at Deer Lake Park, with gates opening at 12:00 pm and the show running from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Food, water and other refreshments will be available, as will beer and wine to those aged nineteen years and over with two pieces of valid ID.
