This Canada Day, Burnaby will be wishing the country a happy birthday with a special celebration.
The event will be filled with a variety of activities that have come to be associated with summertime fun, and everyone is welcome to join in the festivities, most of which will be free.
Proceedings will kick off at 11:00 am, and the excitement will take place both in the pool and on dry land. The attendees can take in a performance, enjoy a slice of cake or just relax in the pool during the Loonie swims that will be on offer in the Edmonds Community Centre.
Along with the other activities, a youth soccer tournament has been included in the plans for the day. There will be lots of fun activities just for the little ones, and they can even have their faces painted with a design of their choice. While there is onsite parking, it is limited, so using public transport is recommended if possible.
Decorations can add to the excitement of occasions like this, and a banner printing company can be counted upon to supply them.
This day of fun will be taking over Edmonds Plaza and Park on July 1. It will run from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm, and the pool will remain open for the Loonie swim until 4:00 pm.
