Arts event will celebrate the end of winter

The Winter's End Celebration is taking place in Burnaby next month.

The event will feature a cocktail reception, a visual arts and ceramics display, and a dance performance. It is a showcase event for the adult students of the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts’ many programs.

The centre offers art programs for people of all ages in subjects such as ceramics, music, theater, visual arts, dance, and the literary arts.

No doubt the celebration will attract not only the participants in the arts programs, but their friends, families and co-workers. Sharing their art will likely encourage the artists to continue on to other programs next year.

While most of the advertising around it will be word of mouth, it is likely that the organizers will be investing in services such as poster and flyer printing from Burnaby printing companies. These items can then be distributed throughout the community for very little extra cost.

The Winter's End Celebration is being held at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on April 10, beginning at 7:00pm. The dance performances will be held in the James Cowan Theatre and the arts exhibitions will take place in the Atrium and Encores. Admission is free.
