In about 10 days’ time, The Brampton Arts Council will be presenting 12 HACE Business of the Arts workshops at the Brampton Golf. All workshops are free for Brampton residents, although registration will be limited to 300 people.
Each workshop is 75 minutes long and will cover an aspect of running a successful business in the arts. Workshops will include topics such as the fast-changing nature of the Internet and its integration in the arts, expanding an arts-related business, and how an artist can get work into a gallery. Presenters will include Tim Chapman, Cheryl Ewing, and Stuart Oxborough.
The workshops should be very helpful for those just beginning to support themselves as an artist, as well as those with years of experience. The workshops will be taught by professionals in their fields with plenty of experience to share and tips to ensure the running of a successful arts business.
There will also be time for networking before and after each workshop. Those Brampton residents who plan to attend one or more of these workshops will probably want to place a new business card printing order in advance. Business Cards are an important tool for those in any business including the arts, as they function as a first impression of the businessperson and, of course, they make it possible to contact that person later.
