Volunteers Lethbridge is looking to the public for their input into who they think is most deserving to win this year’s Leaders of Tomorrow award.
The award, which recognizes youth volunteerism, was first instituted in 1997. Since then, it has been given out to 1,825 young people from Lethbridge and the local area in recognition of the work they have done in their community.
Community groups, schools, volunteer organizations and individuals are welcome to nominate a youth who makes a difference in the city through volunteering. The nomination should ideally be made by someone in a supervisory role, but they cannot be the person’s parent or other caregiver or an immediate relative.
All those whose names have been put forth for the award will be invited to the Leaders of Tomorrow Gala, which is scheduled to take place on April 13th during National Volunteer Week at the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel. Tickets are available at a cost of $30 each. Variable Data printing is a method that can be used to send invites or tickets for events to everyone on a list without manually merging them.
Those who wish to put a name forward for the award can pick up nomination Forms at the offices of Volunteer Lethbridge, located at 324-5 Street South. They can also email their submission no later than March 1st at 4:30 p.m.
