Lethbridge will be celebrating its annual Whoop-Up Days event this August, showcasing local community togetherness.
The events will kick off with the annual Whoop-Up Days Parade, with marching bands, floats and displays travelling through the city, beginning at Park Place Mall. Local organizations often use vehicles and banner printing in order to announce their presence in events like this.
Harkening back to its origins over 125 years ago, Whoop Up Days will include traditional agricultural fair activities, such as a Magic Bran Ag Show, and a tractor show. Evenings will feature the popular Lethbridge & District Pro Rodeo, which had its biggest ever attendance last year. There will also be live music for five evenings on the Original 16 Stage. Headlining performers include Brayden King, Trooper and Bebe Buckskin. The week will close off with a spectacular Fireworks finale.
The festival area will feature a carnival-style midway, with more than 30 rides and games at a variety of different intensities, and a beer garden that will be open all days throughout the festival. The event will use a “Free ‘til 3” policy where anyone can enter for free before 3 p.m. on select days.
The 2025 Whoop Up Days Festival will take place in Lethbridge from August 19 to 23 at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre and other locations around the city.
