Thriller for Lethbridge Jackson fans

The story of Michael Jackson is coming to the Yates Memorial Theatre in Lethbridge this spring.

After a whirlwind global tour that took the show to nearly every continent on the planet, Michael Jackson HIStory is touring Canada with an Alberta stop in Lethbridge. The biographical stage production chronicles Jackson’s eventful life through music and dance, starting with the Jackson 5 era. Michael was the lead singer of the band which was comprised of five Jackson brothers in the 1970s.

Fans will be treated to song after memorable song from the Jackson library. It promises to be a musical journey through the 80s and 90s into the years before Jackson’s untimely death.

Twenty tunes in all will be featured in the show, performed by the talented Kenny Wizz. Poster printing and distribution throughout the Lethbridge area and Southern Alberta will ensure fans know about the concert.

Wizz, who bears a startling resemblance to the king of pop, will perform with live musicians, costumed dancers and slick choreography, presenting a world class tribute to one of the greatest performers of our time. He has impersonated Michael Jackson for almost 30 years and has toured Europe, played Las Vegas and has performed regularly in Atlantic City.

Rumour has it that Wizz may retire in four years or so; therefore, time is running out to see his performance. Michael Jackson HIStory will take the stage at 8pm on April 16 at the Yates Memorial Theatre in Lethbridge. Seats are $54 and are available from the Ticket Centre in Lethbridge.
