The Lethbridge Tattoo Show will be back for its 15th edition this September, attracting ink aficionados and vendors from across Alberta and beyond.
The three-day event will feature over 120 artists and vendors, and it aims to be the biggest edition yet in terms of prizes. There will be tattoo competitions in several categories, divided by size and colour, as well as special categories like Fine Line, Portrait and Collaboration, with competitors inking their tattoos live at the event. Tattoos done live can also be entered into daily “Tattoo of the Day” categories and an overall “Best in Show” contest. Past winners have received novelty-sized Cheques and wrestling-style championship belts to celebrate their achievement.
Beyond the competition, there will be a showroom floor including artists from parlours like Peppermint Hippo Tattoo, Crystal Leach Art and Iron Lotus Body Art. Other vendors include professional body piercers, facial hair care brand The Gilded Beard, and Beyond Hot, a hot sauce provider. Expos and festivals such as this provide opportunities for small businesses to interact directly with potential customers, with Business Cards and promotional items often changing hands. The first night of the show will be a rowdy adults-only event, with the following two days being for all ages.
The 2022 Lethbridge Tattoo Show is set to take place between September 16 and 18 at the South Pavilion of Exhibition Park.
