Volunteer Lethbridge and the University of Lethbridge’s Student Union are inviting the public to come out and take part in an activity that will raise awareness and funds, all while having fun doing it.
The Summer Color Fun Run, which is held each year, will see those who participate walk or run the five-kilometer route while being doused in sprays of bright colors. Open to everyone from kids to seniors, it will take place at the university. There will be five separate color stations set up, and free parking will be offered to those who take part.
Registration fees will be $40 for adults and $35 for students who have a valid student ID, while for those under age 7, it will be $10. A portion of the fees will be donated to Volunteer Lethbridge.
The race has been scheduled for April 17, with registration starting at 1:00 pm. Before the run or walk begins, there will be a Zumba-style warmup, starting at 1:45 pm. At 2:00 pm, the racers will take to the starting line and be on their way. Printing companies can produce T-Shirts, race bibs and other items that can be used during events such as this.
