Livestock expo headed to Lethbridge

The sixth annual Alberta Livestock Expo will be held in Lethbridge this October, bringing together farmers and others in the livestock industry from across the province and beyond.

The three-day event will feature exhibits and presentations from a variety of vendors and organizations in the agricultural sector. There will be dedicated sub-conferences to innovation in poultry, pork and dairy. In the evening, visitors will gather together for a banquet dinner. The second day of the expo will also feature a hot lunch, a competition to determine the highest-quality pork, and a charity auction with money raised going towards Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta, providing support for children undergoing medical treatment. The best-judged meat will receive the Xavier Temple Prize for Excellence in Pork Quality.

The show floor will feature dozens of exhibitors related to all aspects of growing and selling livestock, with a few names including Advanced Ag Products, Delcan Building Materials, Farm Water Systems, and Innotech Nutrition Solutions. There will also be seminars and other events for people looking to learn more about new products and services. Networking is also a core appeal of the event, with Business Cards and resumes being just as important in agriculture as in other industries.

The 2024 Alberta Livestock Expo will take place at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre in Lethbridge on October 16 and 17.
