Lethbridge Japanese garden set to reopen for another year

A Lethbridge attraction will soon open for the 2016 season, giving area residents a taste of Japan in the Canadian west.

To mark the occasion, the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden has planned a variety of special activities. There will be an exhibit that features authentic teacups from Japan, origami, a drumming performance, tours of the garden, and Japanese story telling. The spring blossoms will be starting to come out, as will the flowers, providing lots of opportunities for photography. Sign printing can be used in attractions such as this to help the public navigate through them. It can also be used to create botanical markers for the trees and different plants.

New hours have been set for the season, and the gates will open at 9:00 am, and the last admission will be granted at 5:30 pm, with the garden to close at 6:00 pm. Admission for the day is $9 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for youth ages 6-17 and those under 6 will be admitted free of charge. Season passes will also be available for purchase at a price of $30 each of $40 for a family.

The opening date for the Nikko Yuko Japanese Garden will be on May 7. It is located at 9 Avenue South and Mayor Magrath Drive in Lethbridge. Further details about the event and the attraction in general can be found on its website.
