Lethbridge hosts fourth annual Comic Con

Lovers of “geekery” came from all over Lethbridge and the surrounding area to enjoy the Lethbridge Comic Con’s fourth year.

The celebration of all things nerdy was well attended, and according to organizer Adam Essex, he felt the turnout was even better than last year’s, and he was very pleased with the number of people who came to browse and have fun.

There were many different booths and exhibits set up, some of which featured the work of local artists and craftspeople. One such exhibitor was Halli Liliburn, who remarked that she was happy to see so many kids there, as it was intended to be a very “kid friendly” event. She also pointed out that it gave people with similar interests a chance to get together and meet others who are interested in the same things. A printing company can create all of the decorations, signage, tickets, etc. that are needed to make such an event a success. It can even Print special T-Shirts and other mementos of the convention.

One of the most popular parts of the convention was the costumes that were worn by a sizeable portion of the crowd. Many came decked out dressed as their favorite characters from comic Books, anime and pop culture. Some even had their photos taken by the public, and according to Judy Conacher, who had brought her kids to the expo, her children had a wonderful time.
