Lethbridge fight night to feature reality stars
An upcoming boxing card in Lethbridge will see reality TV stars and other celebrities duke it out, with a charitable cause at stake.
The event is called Fight Night 15, and it is the second edition of Celebrity Net Fights. The card features nine fights and will be headlined by a heavyweight contest between Ed Eason, who has competed on The Circle and The Challenge, and former Big Brother contestant Paulie Calafiore.
The co-main event will be a women’s flyweight match pitting Big Brother Canada stars Pili Martin and Madeline di Nunzio against each other. Other names on the bill include Cam Armstrong, Scottie Salton, John Luke Kieper and Renan Hellemans.
Fights will be contested under competitive amateur boxing rules. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket or livestream of the show will go towards the Indigenous Residential Schools Survivors Society.
Amateur and professional boxing fights featuring familiar names from reality shows, online streams or other sports, typically promoted through tools like social media and poster printing, have experienced a boom in recent years, with some reaching massive audiences. The Lethbridge event is organized by Z Promotions, which has also put on a series of mixed martial arts events in Alberta.
Fight Night 15 will take place at the ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge on December 11, with the event also to be livestreamed globally on FITE TV.
