With 50 years under its belt, Lethbridge County has good cause to celebrate, and to mark the occasion the council has voted to redesign the official county logo.
Councilors have come together and cast their votes on a new design that incorporates many of the features important to the region. A sheaf of wheat and green elements represent the importance that agriculture, fields and green land have to the area. The blue sections signify water and irrigation, while the gold recognizes the 50th anniversary.
The new design was recently unveiled, and it will be used first on the council’s main administration building and flags. Over the next couple of months, it will be put to use across the rest of the area – all part of a rebranding for the county.
Various officials were on hand for the big reveal, including two local members of the Alberta Legislative Assembly. It was noted that the new logo not only looks to the future but also celebrates the county’s rich past.
