Lethbridge arcade to host throwback New Years party
Lethbridge’s The Place arcade bar will be looking to turn back the years this New Year’s Eve, as it hosts an all-night bash dedicated to the 80s.
The event, called New Year’s Eve 80’s Style, will feature a pair of live musical acts. Headlining the show is the Bridgette Yarwood Band, a Lethbridge-based act that blends rock, jazz and blues. Also performing will be Def Leppard tribute band Stage Fright, fitting the 1980s feel of the event. There will also be special drinks and party favours available to help ring in the new year. Bars around the world are a popular place to ring in a new year, with many turning the night into a special occasion. An eye-catching graphic design is often created to advertise such events.
Attendees will be able to freely sample a selection of pinball machines and arcade games, with many classic titles from yesteryear. Everything in the venue, which is a fully-stocked bar as well as an arcade, will reflect the bright decor and sensibility associated with the 1980s.
