Lethbridge afternoon to combine pets and comics

This April will see a 2-for-1 expo taking place in Lethbridge, with the annual Pet Expo and Comic, Pop Culture & Collectables Expo taking place side to side.

Both events are hosted by Domesticated Divas Events, and are in their third year. The Pet Expo will feature local animal-oriented vendors like Birdie Adobes and Country Whiskers as well as adoption agencies like Windy City Rescue. Attendees are encouraged to leave their own pets at home to avoid furry chaos, but can bring home unique toys and treats. The Expo is also looking to find homes for dogs and cats in need.

The Comics Expo will look to celebrate superhero and comics-based pop culture. Kapow Comics will be a major part of the event, as well as local businesses like Origami Owl and artists like Lauren Kurmey. It will include a costume (or cosplay) contest for all ages. Events like these are often advertised through banner printing. Domesticated Divas is hoping that physical proximity will also lead to crossover between the two family-friendly events.

The Lethbridge Pet Expo and Comic, Pop Culture & Collectables Expo will both take place on the afternoon of April 4 at Exhibition Park Lethbridge, with admission based on a donation to animal rescue organizations. The same two events were held in tandem last September.
