Improvements to Lethbridge animal shelter completed
The Lethbridge Animal Shelter has recently had some upgrades to its facilitates, and they have now been finished.
The improvements are intended provide better conditions for the animals, as well as the staff and visitors. The enhancements include a new sound system so music can be played throughout the facility, a new feline maternity wing, enhanced dog kennels, a new socialization room so the animals can become used to spending time around people, and also a seamless floor, which will make cleaning up easier and help to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses throughout the facility.
Visitors will now be able to spend more time with the shelter’s residents, which in turn will help the animals become suitable for adoption.
According to the City of Lethbridge’s Bylaw Officer, the facility’s staff are very pleased with the upgrades. Construction was made possible through the receipt of two bequests, as well as a contribution from the city’s Facilities Lifecycle Funding program.
Improvements like this can help to ensure that homeless animals have a place to go, and have a better chance of finding permanent homes through the adoption process. A flyer printing company can do its part by creating advertisements and other promotional materials that let the public know about the enhancements to the shelter, and encourage them to adopt one of its residents.
