Since 1986, Lethbridge College has honoured those who have made a difference either at the institution or in the community by granting them an honorary degree. This year, the college will honour a local entrepreneur.
Keith Dys, who is believed to have learned the value of an education through his own hard work, is the former Chairperson of the college’s Board of Governors and has been an integral part of many different fundraising committees.
After he completed his education at McNally School, he became a journeyman partsman. Through hard work and dedication to his career, he eventually found a position as a salesperson with KEM. While working, he taught himself about business and company management through reading Books loaned from a library.
All his efforts paid off when, in 1991, he and his wife formed Enercon Water Treatment, which in the years since has proven to be a successful enterprise.
Through the years, he has been a great asset to the college, where he participated in many different roles in a leadership capacity.
He is the 14th person to have been granted an honorary degree, which will be conferred to him at this year’s Honoring Excellence event in which the achievements of distinguished alumni will be recognised.
It is expected to be a wonderful event, and a Print company can help by creating Invitations, programs and other items that can help to lend an overall note of sophistication and graciousness to the day.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Invitations Get a Free Quote for Books
