Event to bring color to Lethbridge

An event has been planned for Lethbridge that will make the start of September a whole lot brighter.

The 2016 Lethbridge Fringe Color Run will see participants don white outfits and run, walk, dance, or otherwise complete the 5km course. As they do, they will pass through the different color stations that will be set up along the way. There, they will be doused with color before continuing on. The tints are made using food grade corn starch, are non-toxic, and are made to be washed right off and friendly to the environment. Eye protection is recommended to keep the dye from running in to them.

The run, which is restricted to those aged 16 and over, is not competitive and is intended to simply be fun. It will take place at Henderson Lake on September 3, starting at 8:00 pm and winding up at 10:30 pm. Participation in the event has been set at $49 each, which includes a T-shirt. While water will be provided, it is recommended that participants bring along their own beverages for the run. A print company can produce a variety of customized items for this type of event, including T-shirts, water bottles, banners, and other signage.

Further details and an opportunity to register for the 2016 Lethbridge Fringe Color Run can be found on its website.
