CP Holiday Train set to roll into Lethbridge

With the holiday season beginning to gather pace, the residents of Lethbridge are preparing to welcome the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train to the area.

This is the 15th year for this event and there will be 14 different rail cars, each decorated with hundreds of twinkling LED lights. There will also be a boxcar which has been turned into a stage where visitors can catch performances by Juno winning singer and songwriter Melanie Doane and Canadian Jazz singer Matt Dusk.

Every year, CP works hard to make the train better for those who come out to see it. To date, it has raised over $7.4 million and has collected more than two million pounds of food for local food banks. To mark its 15th year, it will be matching donations to the Breakfast Club of Canada. A portion of this will be used to help support programs in the Lethbridge area.

The event has, in the past, proved to be a huge success, and a spokesperson for CP noted that it couldn’t happen without the great turnout and overwhelming support from the public.

Colorful signage can help to lend an extra festive touch to events like this. Banner printing companies can produce impactful materials for a minimal cost.

The train is scheduled to roll into Lethbridge on December 9 at 5:45pm and will stop behind Save on Foods at 2 Avenue North and 12 Street. The show will begin at 7:00pm. The next stops will be on December 10 in Fort MacLeod at 9:30am, Pincher Creek at 11:45am and in Coleman at 1:15pm.
