Charity events to warm up the month

There are two fundraising events taking place in Lethbridge next month that will help improve the lives of citizens.

The first to take place is the Masquerade Gala, and is a fundraiser for the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association. The evening will start off with a cocktail reception, to be followed by dinner and dancing. The food will be Cajun-inspired and musical entertainment will be provided by The Westside Jazz Messengers. Tickets are $60 per person and tables of eight are available.

Funds raised will go towards lectures, Christmas dinner and the various festivals held by the organization each year.

The following week will see the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event, which will raise funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District and take place over two days. It is the Turbo Video Game Edition. Teams register for $400 for up to six players; they can also raise pledges. The teams will have a choice of five sessions over the two days. Players will get pizza, pop, and prizes.

Organizers of these types of charity events in Lethbridge often invest in flyer printing services to help spread the word.

The Masquerade Gala will be held at the Multicultural Center on March 3 from 6:00 to 11:55 pm. Call 403-320-1577 to learn more.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake will take place at Holiday Bowl from March 9 to 10. Contact Tamara Waites at 403-328-9355 for more information.
