The top 400 science projects from across Canada will be presented by grade seven to twelve students. The projects have been selected for presentation at the Canada Wide Fair in light of their performance at over 100 regional fairs held across the country.

The event will be an opportunity for the estimated 1100 individuals in attendance to participate in a range of cultural and social activities, pay visits to research and science facilities in the area, and also visit tourism spots in Southern Alberta that will be featured.

Students participating will present their projects for judging and will most certainly have utilized professional printing services to ensure the best presentation possible as communication is one of the three key criteria.

In addition to communication, projects will be judged on originality, creativity and scientific thought.

Nearly $1m in scholarships, cash, and other prizes, such as travel, will be presented. Canadian technology giant Blackberry is a key sponsor of the event and stands as an example of the innovation and achievement that can be cultivated here in Canada.

The fair will be held at the University of Lethbridge from May 11 – 18, and the public is welcome to visit the fair to take a look at the work created by some of the brightest young scientific minds in Canada.
