Business efficiency program coming to Lethbridge

Lethbridge businesspeople will have the chance to improve their skills when the Lean Six Sigma Belt program is offered in the area for the first time next month.

Platepus Global Consulting has partnered with Lethbridge College and Productivity Alberta to provide company owners and their employees with the opportunity to undergo training up to the green belt level of the program.

The system is designed to give people a greater knowledge of how to take their efficiency, profitability, and productivity to the next level.

The course comprises two weeks of intensive day-long sessions led by trainers who hold a master’s black belt in the methodology. After that, the students will take part in one-on-one coaching sessions where they will have to show that they have applied what they have learned in their actual day-to-day business lives.

One of the goals of the program is to help provide a platform from which the participants can develop their businesses without needing too much external help.

A local Print company is expected to provide informational materials that will be used during the two weeks of group training sessions.

Once someone has received green belt certification through the program, they can choose to move up and can be trained to a black belt level and beyond.

The courses will be held from September 16th- 20th and November 4th-8th. If there is enough interest, additional courses will be offered at a later date. More information can be found on the official Lethbridge College website.
