The event will see local quilters and special guests put their work on display. There will be over 200 handmade quilts and quilted items, with a mixture of traditional, modern and specialty techniques and subjects. These items will feature in a “market mall” with vendors offering quilting and other crafting supplies. Exhibitors Finely Quilted described the show as:
“A well-loved event within the local and regional quilting community. Hosted by the Leduc Black Gold Quilters Guild, the event reflects the care and dedication of its members and the strong sense of community quilting creates.”
Attendees can also develop their crafting skills with demonstrations for products and bed turning, as well as the informal chance to chat and network with other craftspeople. All visitors will be eligible to win door prizes and enter into a raffle to take home a free quilt or other prize. Money from raffle entries will go towards the Leduc and District Food Bank.
QuiltFest takes place biennially with the support of local volunteers and Guild members. Community events such as this one often use banner printing and special presentations to recognize volunteers and sponsors.
The 2026 edition of QuiltFest will take place on October 16 at the Leduc Rec Centre.
