Leduc County and the Wizard Lake Watershed Association will once again be partnering to present the Winter Try It Festival this February.
The festival area will have equipment and set-up areas for a number of winter activities and sports. Visitors can take part in curling, cross country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing and more. There will also be live music for atmosphere and a bonfire to help everyone stay warm in the depths of February.
The Try It Festival will also feature free refreshments including hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee and maple taffy on snow while supplies last. Other family-friendly activities include face painting and sleigh rides. Visitors will also be able to win door prizes on their arrival. The Festival has become a tradition in Leduc County during the winter months.
The event is meant to promote Leduc County’s recreation programs, which include the city of Leduc and nearby areas like Beaumont. Visitors can learn about upcoming programs and events in the County as well as those offered by municipal governments. Recreational programs often use brochure printing and social media to outline their details and recruit new participants.
The 2026 Winter Try It Festival will take place at the Wizard Lake day-use area in Leduc County on the afternoon of February 7. Admission is free for all.
