The Karma Concerts series will be marking its 10th anniversary this April in Leduc, with a cabaret-style concert raising money for local charity.
The show will be headlined by Hippies & Cowboys, a rock ‘n soul band out of Nashville, with special guest and Alberta emerging country artist Garrett Gregory. The show’s style aims to combine rock and country music for a party atmosphere. Danny Hooper will serve as the emcee for the evening, including running auctions.
The evening will kick off with a happy hour, including a cash bar and food stations offering refreshments from local businesses. There will be a bingo game for entertainment, followed by speeches and a live auction. The live performances will conclude the evening. The show will include banquet-style seating with attendees able to purchase a table for themselves and friends.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Karma Concerts Foundation, which contributes to local arts and music programs for youth in the Leduc area. Past benefactors have included the Boys and Girls Club of Leduc and Kids Help Phone. Charity events like this often use methods like flyer printing and social media to help reach music fans and those who want to contribute to their community.
The 10th anniversary edition of Karma Concerts will take place at the Leduc Recreation Centre on April 18.
