What's Happening in Leduc, AB…

A ground breaking ceremony recently marked the commencement of a new school in Leduc.

The West Haven Public School (WHPS) will service students from grades kindergarten to nine, and will have space for as many as 500 pupils. Various community members and stakeholders were on hand to share some words at the ceremony, such as the school division’s Board Chair and its Superintendent, the local MLA, and Leduc’s Mayor.

All spoke about the need for WHPS, and the important role that it will play in helping the community’s children to meet the demands of the future.

In the mayor’s speech, it was noted that many young families have been moving into the area, so providing educational spaces for their children is a priority. Once the new educational institution is up and running, Stationery printers will be able to provide it with materials such as letterhead, colourful leaflets, and any other printed materials that may be needed.

Kids who currently attend Leduc Estates Elementary, along with their teachers, were on hand with a special banner that they had made to commemorate the event.

A push to have the new facility constructed began back in 2006, as part of the capital submission plan for the Black Gold Regional Schools Division. A proposal for WHPS was submitted to the provincial government, which was approved in 2013.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
