Lobsterfest to return to Leduc

The Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc will be holding its annual Lobsterfest fundraiser this May, for the first time in three years.

The event features a bevy of fresh Atlantic lobster to eat along with steak, sides, and a cash bar. There will also be an auction with items donated by local businesses. The event is designed to raise money for the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation, a registered non-profit that contributes funds to both the Leduc Community Hospital and local health organizations in Leduc, Beaumont, and Thorsby. Lobsterfest will also feature live on-stage entertainment. Information on pricing and ticket availability will be released in the weeks to come.

This will be the first Lobsterfest in three years after prior installments were cancelled for public health reasons. The feast is one of several events held by the Rotary Club throughout the year, which also include regular breakfast meetings, lectures from guest speakers – including a recent visit from Canadian journalism legend Gwynne Dyer – and various fundraisers towards a variety of charitable causes. Events such as these use tools like social media and poster printing to connect with the local community and sell tickets, working to create a greater sense of community and contribute to a good cause.

The 2023 edition of Lobsterfest will take place at RedTail Landing Golf Club in Nisku on Saturday, May 27.
