The sixth edition of a Leduc charity concert and cabaret night has been postponed to a new date for public health reasons.

The Karma Concert in Leduc is presented by local radio station W1440 and typically features musical artists along with attractions like live and silent auctions, bingo, drink specials, and other activities. The goal is to create a rowdy “cabaret style’ music night. Proceeds typically go to a local charity designed to benefit children. Past beneficiaries include MusiCounts BandAid Program, Leduc Boys & Girls Club and Leduc & District Food Bank. Charitable events like this are often organized through volunteer efforts and advertised through flyer printing and brochure printing.

This year’s concert had announced Dan Davidson as the headliner, with special guest The Prairie States. Davidson is a Canadian singer-songwriter who rose to prominence as the guitarist and vocalist of rock group Tupelo Honey, before making the switch to country as a solo artist. His song “Found” became a gold record and captured numerous awards at the Alberta Country Music Awards. While details on next year’s concert are pending, the term “rescheduled” suggests that organizers will be looking to present a similar event.

The sixth edition of the Karma Concert in Leduc was originally set to take place on April 24, 2020 at the Leduc Recreation Centre, but has been postponed to April 30, 2021. All tickets purchased for the 2020 show will be valid for next year’s date.
