Canadian Pacific is getting Leduc residents into the Christmas season early, with the Canadian Pacific Holiday train that passed through Leduc on Monday, December 10. Ten festive cars decorated with Christmas lights and a car full of musical performers managed to put everyone in the holiday spirit and also raise a bit of money and donations for charity for the Leduc Regional Food Bank.

The Leduc holiday train not only brought Christmas cheer to the Leduc area, but also stopped at 150 different communities across the country and entertained people of all ages. The train stops in Leduc only every other year, making this year a special one for local residents. The holiday train has logged over 100,000 miles since its first trip in 1999.

The holiday train has also managed to collect more than 2.6 million pounds of food and 6.4 million in donations in both Canada and the United States. Funds raised on the US Holiday train stops will benefit Hurricane Sandy rescue movement. The Canadian Pacific train made its stop in Leduc, AB at 8:30 pm in the evening.

Flyer printing in communities across North America and media advisories detailed the scheduled stops for the holiday train, which also included communities all across Canada during its three-day journey. Printed advertising, like billboard printing, has also helped promote the highly anticipated holiday tradition and encourage residents to donate food and money to the Leduc holiday train, which is also partnered with the Children’s Wish Foundation and great musical talent.
