What's Happening in Leduc, AB…

Non-profits from throughout the Leduc area will come together this summer to host the Summer in the City event series, featuring public occasions throughout the city.

The day of events will feature programming for residents of all ages. Gatherings like the Party in Alexander Park event will give local not-for-profit organizations an opportunity to reach out to residents and explain their programming, including recreational activities in the upcoming fall and winter seasons. The celebration will move throughout the city, allowing people to go to each one or see what is happening in their area. There will be food trucks, face painting, and other participatory activities where applicable.

The Leduc Boat Club will be providing free 45-minute rentals of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards to take out on the water of Telford Lake. Previous editions of the event have included attractions such as a petting zoo, a foam party, and a skateboard competition. Summer events such as this often use tools such as brochure printing to help publicize the schedule and link attendees to local nonprofit groups and businesses. All events will be free to the public, supported by volunteers and area sponsors.

The 2024 edition of Summer in the City will take place throughout the day on July 27. Venus include the Leduc Recreation Centre, Suntree Greenspace, and Alexandra Park.
