Leduc team brings home the gold

Hailing from the city of Leduc, members of the Kanata Gymnastics Club has every reason to be bursting with pride this month.

After competing with 14 other provincial gymnastics teams, as well as one from Saskatchewan, they definitely came home with the gold.

They were ranked first overall of the 14 teams and, considering that this is their first provincial meet of the new season, it is certainly quite a feat.

The club consists of mostly younger gymnasts, who range in age from 8 to 14 and they competed in six different groups. Eight of their members ranked in the top eight in the competition overall. They were also awarded the P1 team award for having the highest scores all around.

The participants came home with 15 medals and 28 ribbons for their routines on the balance beam, vault and floor. A Print company can provide awards such as custom printed medals and ribbons, as well as beautiful awards certificates that will be treasured by all who receive them. They could also help the club with material to promote their achievements and attract new recruits.

It was noted that a large part of the credit for the team’s success goes to the coaches, trainers and other support personnel. They provided training, choreographed floor exercises and other activities. As usual, the girl’s parents also played a huge role in the success by driving them to and from their practices and always showing their 100% support.
