Aiming to educate residents about the neighborhood-conscious groups and organizations present in their own communities, the Thorsby Community event will invite Leduc locals to an information night where they can see displays of local community groups and get involved. There will no doubt be lots of participation opportunities for local Print companies through the dissemination of program information and events in printed format.
Groups hosting tables on the information night are free and some of this year’s displays include Leduc County tables and Alberta Health Services, as well as Healthy Hearts and Ever Active Schools sporting groups.
The goal of the night is to educate Leduc residents about the projects and organizations within their very own communities, learn about their causes, register with organizations that interest them, and even get involved in charity or volunteer work, if they wish. Part of the goal of local groups is also to recruit new members and promote many of their upcoming events and programs that may be of interest to the community at the free event night. Some 40 different groups are expected to be on hand to take part
Set to be held on September 12, the Awareness event could be an excellent opportunity for printers to lend printing services like booklet printings and poster printing to display on tables and distribute to visiting attendees. Printed material can be extremely effective at keeping the public informed about community services and spreading word about upcoming events in Leduc to a large and targeted audience.
